Statutory Compliance
GST and TDS, managed end to end
Returns computed, reconciled and filed to the due date — with the reconciliation work done properly underneath, which is what stops problems surfacing two years later. Remote-first, so we work with businesses anywhere in India.

What we don’t do
We’re deliberately not a full compliance shop.
Compliance is table stakes for us, not our positioning. We take GST and TDS because they’re monthly, data-driven and sit right on top of the books we already keep.
- Income tax returns and assessments — your CA
- Statutory audit and certification — your auditor
- ROC and company secretarial filings
- Payroll, PF and ESI compliance
- Representation before tax authorities
GST & TDS — common questions
Which compliance work does OFS handle?
GST and TDS only — computation, reconciliation, return preparation and filing, end to end. We deliberately don’t take on income tax returns, audit, ROC or payroll compliance. Staying narrow is what keeps the monthly calendar reliable.
Are you a firm of chartered accountants?
No. OFS is an outsourced finance company, not a firm of chartered accountants. We employ qualified CAs but perform no CA-reserved work at all — no audit, no certification, no attest reports and no representation before the authorities. Preparing and filing GST and TDS returns is not work reserved to a chartered accountant; everything that is reserved stays with your own practising CA. See virtual CFO vs chartered accountant for how the roles divide.
Which GST returns apply to my business?
It depends mostly on your aggregate turnover: quarterly filing is available up to ₹5 crore, the annual GSTR-9 is optional up to ₹2 crore, and e-invoicing applies once you have crossed ₹5 crore in any year since 2017-18. Our free GST applicability checker works it out for your numbers.
What does GST reconciliation involve?
Five checks every month before filing: your sales register against GSTR-1, GSTR-1 against GSTR-3B, purchases against IMS and GSTR-2B, e-invoices and e-way bills against GSTR-1, and the portal’s ledgers against your books. They are what keep system-generated DRC-01B and DRC-01C intimations away. We explain each in the five monthly GST reconciliations.
What is GSTR-2B reconciliation and why does it matter?
GSTR-2B is the auto-generated statement of input tax credit available to you based on what your suppliers filed. Reconciling it against your own purchase register is how you catch credit you’re entitled to but haven’t claimed — and credit you’ve claimed that your supplier never reported, which is what triggers notices later.
Is your TDS process updated for the Income-tax Act, 2025?
Yes. From 1 April 2026 we deduct and report under section 393, file the renumbered quarterly statements (Forms 138, 140 and 144) and issue certificates in Forms 130 and 131. Payments credited or made before that date stay under the 1961 Act. Our guide to TDS under the Income-tax Act, 2025 explains what changed.
What happens if a return is filed late?
Late GST returns attract a late fee per day plus interest at 18% per annum on the tax payable. You can estimate the cost with our GST late fee calculator. Our own process tracks due dates ahead of time so the question doesn’t arise.
Can you handle compliance if someone else does our accounting?
Yes, though it works best when the books are reliable. We’ll review the underlying data first — filing a return off unreconciled books just moves the problem to a future assessment.
Will you deal with a GST notice for us?
We’ll help you assemble the reconciliation and supporting data a reply needs, and we work alongside your CA who handles representation. Appearing before authorities is CA work and we don’t hold it out as ours.
