Finance Operations

An outsourced finance team, running to a calendar

AP, AR, reconciliation and a month-end close that finishes on schedule — because the process is documented and the deadlines aren’t negotiable. Remote-first, so we work with businesses anywhere in India.

The monthly rhythm

The same sequence, every single month.

Predictability is the product. When the close runs on a calendar, you stop asking where the numbers are and start using them.

  1. Step 1

    Complete data in

Bank statements, sales and purchase registers and expense claims. Anything missing is chased immediately and named specifically.

  2. Step 2

    Record and reconcile

Entries posted, every bank and card account reconciled, vendor and customer ledgers agreed.

  3. Step 3

    Close and review

Accruals, prepayments, depreciation and closing entries. Trial balance tied and reviewed by a second pair of eyes.

  4. 24 working hrs

    Delivered

Financial statements, the MIS pack and GST and TDS working papers — within 24 working hours of step 1.

The OFS guarantee

Delivered within 24 working hours — or next month is on us.

24 working hours from the moment we have your complete data. The clock runs Monday to Saturday and pauses on Sundays and public holidays.

Payables & receivables

Where cash is actually won and lost.

Accounts payable

  • Vendor bills captured and coded consistently
  • Three-way matching where you use purchase orders
  • A scheduled payment run you review and approve
  • Vendor ledgers reconciled to statements
  • Duplicate and double-payment checks

Accounts receivable

  • Customer invoices raised on time and correctly
  • Debtor ageing published every month
  • A documented follow-up cycle, not ad-hoc chasing
  • Receipts matched and allocated properly
  • Disputes and short payments flagged early

Most working-capital problems in mid-sized Indian businesses aren’t caused by margin. They’re caused by paying too early and collecting too late. Our working capital calculator will show you the gap in your own numbers.

Bank reconciliation

Every account reconciled, every month — not at year-end.

A reconciliation proves that everything in the bank is in your books and everything in your books went through the bank. Left to the year-end, the differences are months old, nobody remembers them, and GST credit on charges found too late is lost.

Each month you get a reconciliation for every account and a list of open items, each with its age and the reason it is still open. How a monthly reconciliation works →

What we reconcile

  • Every current, overdraft and cash-credit account
  • Credit cards and corporate cards
  • Payment gateways, settled net of fees and GST on fees
  • Marketplace payouts matched back to orders and returns
  • UPI and NEFT receipts allocated to the right invoice
  • Loan accounts against the lender’s statement

Finance operations — common questions

What is a month-end close?

The month-end close is the disciplined process of finalising a period: recording everything that belongs to the month, reconciling every account, posting accruals and prepayments, and producing financial statements that tie. A close is what turns a pile of transactions into numbers you can rely on.

How long should a month-end close take?

A typical mid-sized business takes a week to ten days, and many take far longer. Ours is delivered within 24 working hours of complete data — guaranteed, or your next month is on us. When a close drags for three weeks, the cause is almost always missing data discipline rather than effort.

Can you outsource just AP and AR?

Yes. Accounts payable and receivable can be run as a standalone engagement if the rest of your accounting is handled internally. It’s a common starting point for businesses whose main pain is collections or payment control.

Do you offer bank reconciliation services for small businesses?

Yes. Bank reconciliation is part of every month’s close for every client, and it can be the whole engagement if that is where you need help. We reconcile every bank, card, gateway and loan account, book what is missing, and list each open item with its age and reason. Businesses anywhere in India can hand it over; the work is remote.

Can you take over accounts payable and receivable for us?

Yes. On the payables side we capture and code bills, match them to purchase orders where you use them, and prepare a scheduled payment run for you to review and approve. On receivables we raise invoices, allocate receipts, publish the debtor ageing and run a documented follow-up cycle. Each can be taken on its own or together.

How do you make sure nothing is missed at close?

A documented close checklist per client, a reconciliation for every balance sheet account, and a review by a second person before anything is issued. Open items are listed explicitly with the reason they’re open — we’d rather tell you what we couldn’t resolve than quietly assume.

Do you handle payroll?

No. Payroll, PF and ESI are deliberately outside our scope. It’s the most operationally heavy service in the stack, and not carrying it is part of how we protect the monthly close calendar.
