Privacy and data handling

The short version

• This website sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers. We count visits with a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not identify you.
• The only personal data we collect is what you send us through the enquiry form, together with how you found the site.
• Our free calculators run entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter into them is transmitted to us or stored anywhere.
• We never ask for banking passwords, and we hold no transaction authority on any client account.

What this website collects

The enquiry form

When you submit the form on our contact page, we receive the name, company name, company email, phone number, the services you selected and anything you wrote in the message field, your answer to “how did you hear about us” if you give one, the page you submitted from and the time of submission.

That submission goes directly from your browser to our own Google Workspace account, where it is recorded in a spreadsheet and emailed to us. It does not pass through any third-party form service or marketing platform.

We use it for one purpose: to reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to run the engagement. We do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.

How you found us

To learn which pages are useful, your browser remembers the first page you visited on this site and the website that sent you there (for example, a search engine), for up to 90 days. This is stored on your own device, in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, and is not sent anywhere unless you submit the enquiry form, when it is included with your enquiry. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it.

Visit statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, provided by our hosting company, to count page views and see which pages are read. It sets no cookies and does not identify individual visitors; we see only aggregate numbers.

The calculators

Every figure you enter into the GST, TDS, cash runway, break-even and working capital tools is processed by JavaScript in your own browser. No values are sent to a server, logged, or persisted. Close the tab and they are gone.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard request logs, which include IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. We do not query these for marketing and do not combine them with form submissions.

Client data

Once an engagement begins, we process financial information belonging to your business. That is governed by our engagement letter rather than this page, but the operating principles are:

• Least access. We work from documents you share and user-level access you create and can revoke yourself.
• No credentials. We do not ask for, accept or store banking passwords or one-time passwords.
• No payment authority. We can read and record. We cannot move money.
• Your software. We work inside your Tally, Zoho Books or QuickBooks licence, so the primary records remain in your control throughout.
• An NDA on request, signed before you send us anything.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to soham@ofsadvisory.com and we will respond within a reasonable period. Where we are processing data on behalf of a client business, we will direct the request to that business, since they determine what happens to it.

Changes

If this page changes materially we will update the date at the top. We do not keep an archive of previous versions, so if a specific commitment matters to you, get it into the engagement letter.
