Our books are closed within a week of each month-end. Decisions made on six-week-old numbers are guesses.
Every bank account is reconciled every month. Unreconciled accounts are where errors and fraud hide.
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B agree, and credit claimed matches GSTR-2B. Mismatches now trigger automatic notices (DRC-01B, DRC-01C).
TDS is deposited by the 7th and statements are filed on time. Late TDS costs interest and fees, and can disallow the expense.
We get a monthly MIS pack with commentary, not just a trial balance. Without it, nobody is explaining the numbers to you.
We know our gross margin by product, customer or channel. A blended margin hides the line that is losing money.
We have a cash forecast for at least the next 13 weeks. Cash problems are visible weeks ahead, if someone is looking.
Less than a fifth of our receivables are over 60 days old. Old receivables are the most common cause of a cash squeeze.

Is the health check really free?

Yes. It is a 30-minute call, with no fee and no obligation to take anything further. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and tell you what you should be looking for instead.

What should I send before the call?

Your latest profit and loss account and balance sheet (a recent month or the last year), and your most recent GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B. A debtor ageing helps if you have one. Never send passwords or banking credentials; we don’t need them and won’t accept them. We can sign an NDA before you send anything.

What will I get out of it?

The three things we would fix first in your finance function, and why, in plain English. You can act on them yourself, with your current team, or with us.

Do you look at our tax or audit position?

No. OFS is not a firm of chartered accountants and performs no CA-reserved work. The health check covers accounting, reporting, cash and GST and TDS compliance. Tax and audit questions stay with your own CA.
