About OFS
Are you a firm of chartered accountants?
No. OFS is an outsourced finance company, not a firm of chartered accountants. We do employ qualified CAs, but employing CAs is not the same thing as being a CA firm and we don’t hold ourselves out as one. We perform no CA-reserved work at all — no statutory or tax audit, no certification, no attest reports, no ROC or income tax filing, and no representation before the authorities. All of that stays with your own practising CA.
What exactly does OFS do?
Four things: outsourced accounting, MIS and performance reporting, GST and TDS compliance, and virtual CFO advisory. The usual path is accounting and reporting together, then CFO support as the business gets more complex.
Where are you based, and who do you serve?
Our office is on L.B.S. Road, Kanjurmarg (West), Mumbai — but we serve businesses across India. Engagements are remote-first, so location makes no difference to the service, the monthly calendar or the fee. Mumbai clients who prefer to meet in person are welcome to.
What size of business do you work with?
Typically businesses between roughly ₹5 crore and ₹100 crore of turnover — large enough to need a real finance function, not yet large enough to justify building one in-house. Below that, a part-time bookkeeper is often the better answer and we’ll say so.
Working with your CA
Do I have to leave my existing chartered accountant?
No, and we usually recommend against it. Your CA keeps audit, income tax, assessments and notices. We run the monthly finance function underneath and hand them reconciled books early rather than a half-finished file in the last week.
What will my CA think about this?
In our experience, most are relieved. Their difficult clients are the ones whose books arrive late and unreconciled. We’re happy to speak to yours directly before you decide anything.
Who files my income tax return?
Your CA. We handle GST and TDS only. Income tax returns, tax audit, ROC filings and representation before authorities stay firmly with your chartered accountant.
Service and process
What is your delivery guarantee?
Everything is delivered within 24 working hours of us having your complete data — or your next month is on us. The clock runs Monday to Saturday and pauses on Sundays and public holidays. One-time backlog clean-ups and first-time builds during onboarding are quoted separately. Read the full terms.
Which accounting software do you work in?
Tally, Zoho Books and QuickBooks — inside your licence and your company file. Your data stays yours, and there’s nothing to migrate if you ever bring the function in-house.
Our books are months behind. Is that a problem?
It’s a common starting point. We scope the backlog as a separate one-time clean-up, tell you honestly how big it is, get you current, and only then start the monthly retainer.
How quickly do we get our monthly numbers?
Within 24 working hours of complete data — that is our guarantee, and if we miss it your next month is on us. The clock runs Monday to Saturday and starts once we have every statement, register and answer we need. Read the full terms.
Do you do payroll?
No. Payroll, PF and ESI are deliberately outside our scope — it’s the most operationally heavy service in the stack, and not carrying it is part of how we protect the monthly close calendar.
How do you handle our financial data?
We work from read-only documents and user-level access you create and can revoke yourself. We never ask for banking passwords, and we hold no transaction authority on any client account. An NDA is available before you send anything.

How much does it cost?
Fixed monthly fees driven by transaction volume, number of entities and GSTINs, and the state of your books. The full explanation is on the pricing page.
Do you charge hourly?
No. Everything is a fixed monthly fee against a written scope, agreed before we start. Hourly billing puts us on opposite sides of the table.
Is there a lock-in period?
No lock-in and no exit fee. If it isn’t working we’d rather you left — and your books are already in your own software, so there’s nothing to hand back.
How long does onboarding take?
Two to four weeks from signed scope to the first close we run end to end, for a business with reasonably current books. A backlog extends that, and we’ll give you a date up front.

Still have a question?
Ask it directly — we’d rather answer honestly on a call than have you guess from a website.
